The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed condolences to Funke Akindele, the Peoples Democratic Party’s deputy governorship candidate in Lagos, on the death of her mother, Dr Adebanjo-Akindele.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his chief press secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu noted that losing a mother is among the deepest sorrows a person can experience. He said it is challenging to find the appropriate words to express sympathy to someone who has lost a loved one.

As the Adebanjo and Akindele families mourn their loved ones, the governor prayed for Funke, his close siblings, and them to have peace, comfort, courage, and love.
