How I was forced to drop out of EKSU, become truck-loader before fame – Oluwadolarz [VIDEO]

Famous content creator, Ogunleye Babatunde Olamide, professionally known as Oluwadolarz has opened up on his journey to stardom.

Speaking with media personality, Amina Atairu, Oluwadolarz revealed that he was forced to drop out of Ekiti State University, EKSU after he lost his stepdad, who was sponsoring him through higher institution.

The Skit-maker said he started to work with Dangote industries as a truck loader to support his mum. He claimed he began to create content right from inside the truck but many people didn’t know why.

Oluwadolarz stated it was after he won a mobile phone in a competition, that he started skit making, adding that he met a footballer, Isaac Success who also helped him with his first N100,000 in 2015.

He revealed how he began to go to the island from Ikorodu to shoot skit in restaurants without buying anything but a bottle of water.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls popular Nigerian actor, skit-maker and activist, Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, known by his stage name Mr Macaroni, has narrated how depression pushed him into skit-making.

Mr Macaroni took to social media to reveal that in 2017/2018, he was depressed and it was at that period he got expelled from his 4th university.

It’s no news that the actor attended 4 universities within the space of 10 years, namely; Leadcity, HNAUB (Cotonou), ABUAD and Redeemers.

Mr Macaroni went on to reveal that in 2018 to 2019, he tried to re-enter Nollywood but got scammed. He entered another bout of depression and settled for posting content online in 2019 and got famous the same year. In his words:

“Lol I was dealing with depression late 2017 /2018 –

That was the period I was expeIled from Uni. And it was the 4th University at the time.

Abeg Wetin consine me with watching film then? My life sef na film wey people dey watch.

From 2018-2019 was another round of depression. I continued hustling for roles again in nollywood. I have been acting on and off since like 2011…

From one audition to another. Dem scam me tire. I dey pay for form ontop say I wan act….

I started creating contents and posting online late 2019 when depression wan finish me.

God picked my call same year.”
