Laila Charani, one of the wives of billionaire politician/lawyer, Ned Nwoko, has attracted considerable attention on social media due to a recent post about her husband which she made on her Instagram page.

Laila shared the post shortly after Ned Nwoko commenced duties as a senator.

In the post, Charani referred to Ned Nwoko as “my husband.” Her choice of words subsequently sparked controversy with many questioning the status of the politician’s other wives, including the well-known actress Regina Daniels.

Captioning the post, she wrote:

“My husband has resumed work as a senator of this great country. I know he will do well for Delta State and Nigeria. I am particularly hopeful that he will engender closer business and cultural ties with Morocco and other Arab countries. We give thanks to Almighty God.”

Reacting to the post, netizens questioned Charani on why she specifically personalized her polygamous husband.
