Mohbad: I can’t sleep – Davido cries out, set to fly in for late Singer’s candlelight procession

Amid the unrelenting pursuit of justice by Nigerians for the late singer Mohbad, his management has taken steps to honor his memory.

An announcement on the singer’s official page revealed plans for a poignant candlelight procession and a tribute concert to pay their final respects. These solemn events are scheduled to take place in Lekki, Lagos, on Thursday, September 21.

The post reads;

We appreciate the outpouring of love from fans across the world, to the ones who’ve organized events in their communities as a way to honor and pay respect to our shining light we say thank you. Join us for Mohbad’s Candlelight Procession and Tribute Concert.”

In response to the post, Davido swiftly shared it on his Instagram story. The ‘Timeless’ maestro, currently on a tour in the United Kingdom, used an airplane emoji and the Nigerian flag to signify his intent to return to the country specifically for the event.

He also offered his condolences to the singer’s family.

Iyabo Ojo, the actress, has also organised a peaceful rally on Wednesday to demand justice over the death of Mohbad.

The 27-year-old singer died last Tuesday and was laid to rest on Wednesday.

The circumstance surrounding his death has continued to stir up controversies on social media.

The Lagos state police command recently commenced an investigation into Mohbad’s death and mentioned the possibility of exhuming his corpse.
