Naira Marley gets interviewed by Reno Omokri, sets record straight on Mohbad’s demise, DJ Splash’s condition

Famous singer, Naira Marley continues to restate his innocence as he gets interviewed by the former presidential aide, Reno Omokri.

Responding to allegations as regards being responsible or involved in the death of Mohbad, Naira Marley noted that he never plotted evil against the ‘Peace’ crooner.

He added that when Mohbad launched a live video to call him out, telling everyone to hold Marlian Music responsible if he dies, he didn’t deem it fit to come on live to also assert that Mohbad wasn’t very much okay, so he simply forgave him and let it slide.

On his relationship with Sam Larry, Naira Marley noted that he is his friend but he never aligned with him to perpetrate evil against Mohbad.

In addition, Naira Marley revealed how he provided professional assistance to Mohbad after being aware of his mental condition. He revealed that he paid for several scans all in a bid to help the deceased singer.

When queried about the condition of Dj Splash whose story was revisited due to Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley clearly stated that Dj Splash was never signed to Marlian Music.

He added that Splash was a boy he tried helping and never signed him. As regards the allegations against him made by Splash, Naira Marley tagged them as lies, asserting that he doesn’t know where the cooked stories are emanating from.

Naira however stated that he is willing to return to Nigeria if only the government can guarantee his safety as a lot of Nigerians are currently furious at him.

This comes a few moments after Naira Marley via his Instagram page emerged to explain his prolonged silence in the face of a relentless onslaught of accusations surrounding the tragic passing of his former signee, Mohbad.

In his statement, Naira Marley addressed the extensive scrutiny and attacks on his reputation following the tragic death of Mohbad. He expressed profound astonishment at the myriad baseless accusations and threats directed his way.

Naira Marley unequivocally stated that he played no role, either directly or indirectly, in Mohbad’s passing. While acknowledging past disagreements during their working relationship, he clarified that these disputes never escalated to the degree insinuated by some. He emphasized that they were in the process of legally resolving their business matters before Mohbad’s untimely demise.

Out of grief and to avoid obstructing ongoing investigations, Naira Marley said he had chosen to remain silent since Mohbad’s death. He disclosed that he had been out of the country since August 31, 2023, and was now preparing to return in response to a police summon. He assured full cooperation with law enforcement, dispelling any notions of being a fugitive when he is entirely innocent.

Naira Marley implied that those responsible for Mohbad’s death might have a personal vendetta against him, manipulating public opinion. He pledged that the truth surrounding Mohbad’s passing would eventually emerge, likening his situation to past instances where musicians were wrongly framed in the industry.
