Real reason my marriage did not last – Actress, Lolo

Nigerian film actress cum media personality, Omotunde Adebowale-David, popularly known as Lolo or Adaku has revealed the reason behind her marriage crash.

The single mother of four while speaking in an interview with TVC explained that she went into her marriage with little understanding of what it entailed. She added that “life happened”.

In her words:

“…Well for me, life happened. A lot of times people go into marriage with a little bit of understanding of what they really are going into. And they don’t have a clear picture. Unfortunately, their lives unfold during the marriage and it is like a make-or-mar situation. I think that’s what happened to me.”

Speaking about being an on-air personality, the comedienne said her journey into radio from law was unplanned.

Lolo added that she had always loved the media, stressing that she thought she was going to be a television presenter but radio found her.

She said she went to look for a job at a television station and was sent to a media training school where she fell in love with radio presenting.

The 46-year-old law school graduate also disclosed that she earns more money from her job as a compere compared to acting and radio presenting. Lolo also plans to join the music industry and start touring.

In a similar story, Nigerian film actress cum producer, Iniobong Edo has taken her fans down the memory lane, speaking up about her failed marriage which crashed about 10 years ago, as well as her choice to opt for surrogacy.

Speaking on an episode of media personality, Chude Jideonwo’s podcast, the actress said she got married in the first place because of “family pressure.”

Ini Edo got married to American based businessman, Philip Ehiagwina on November 29, 2008.

The marriage lasted for a period of five years, and they divorced in 2013. The actress and mother of one clearly stated that she regrets the decision because it was the wrong one at the time.

Ini Edo who recently revealed her daughter to the world on her second birthday spoke about how she chose surrogacy because she wanted to have a child. She added that she had a couple of miscarriages earlier and opted for surrogacy since her eggs are healthy enough and she has no husband.
