Kenyan Chef Maliha Mohammed has surprised everyone as she embarked on a record-breaking journey to achieve the longest cooking marathon ever attempted.

With her determination and passion for the culinary arts, Maliha took on this formidable challenge.

With the intention of smashing the existing record of 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds, Maliha Mohammed started the challenge on November 15 and has been diligently keeping her supporters informed of her progress.

Amidst the sizzling pots and her tireless efforts, it was reported that Maliha experienced an unexpected breakdown, halting the proceedings momentarily at 111 hour mark.

In a video posted on her Instagram story, Maliha was shown unconscious and receiving medical attention while being moved about on a stretcher.

She was determined that the culinary marathon would continue despite the setback caused by the emergency.

“I am a conqueror and a marathon runner. Nothing is bringing us down; to the finish line, we go,” she wrote.

MC Walter had earlier disclosed his primary objective for organizing the marathon. He stated that his aim was to make an ambitious attempt at setting a new Guinness World Record with the event.

In a chat with Legit.ng after the completion of the marathon, MC Walter said it was not an easy task.

He said: “It was difficult, hellish, exhausting and tiring, but our heads were up.”
