Amputee Nigerian film actress, Doris Akonanya has opened up about some things going on in her life, from how it has been in the movie industry, to her side-hustle and romantic relationship.

During an interview with Yan Kontent Factory, Doris revealed despite the fact that she is differently-abled, she can do what every other person can.

Speaking on her experience in Nollywood, she opined that like other actresses, she has encountered movie producers and directors who want to sleep with her.

Asides movies, Doris Akonanya said she makes extra money on the side by taking photos and making videos of herself in skimpy attires for some “white guys” she called “Devotees”. According to her, these Devotees have a fetish for amputees so she sells photos and videos she makes and gets paid in dollars.

The Actress also spoke about Asaba movie actors who have been tagged ‘Asabahood’ versus actors in Lagos. She claimed those in Asaba make more relatable movies so they are more popular amongst fans unlike other actors who “copy the whites”.

When asked if she is treated differently by people, she replied that she is and doesn’t enjoy it because it mostly comes from a place of pity.

Doris at a point admitted that she misses being in a romantic relationship as it has been so long she was in one. She said she can’t even remember what it feels like to have someone call her every morning and night. Watch the interview below;
