When conversations about the movie first started with Tiwa, her co-producer Jimi Adesanya revealed during a press conference that there was a funding issue.
Tiwa Savage used part of her mortgage money to make the movie Water and Garri, which is her first feature film. Directed by Meiji Alabi, the movie which premiered on Prime Video on Friday, May 10, 2024, was produced by Tiwa and Jimi Adesanya.
