Record producer and singer John Saviours Udomboso, known professionally as Young Jonn, has revealed the most embarrassing moment of his career.
The ‘Dada’ hitmaker recounted how he felt humiliated after music video director Unlimited LA shouted at him, asking him to leave the front of the camera during his erstwhile boss, Olamide’s ‘Awon Goons Mi’ video shoot in 2014.
The 29 year old disclosed this in a recent chat with MTV Base. Young Jonn said:
“Some years ago, we were on the set of ‘Awon Goons Mi,’ which was produced by Pheelz and I. Unlimited LA was shooting the video. I was new to the YBNL record label at that time so he probably didn’t know me. Everybody was going to the front of the camera one by one to pose, but when it got to my turn, Unlimited LA shouted at me to leave the place. I almost died. It was as if I should enter the ground. But that is in the past now.”
In 2023, Young Jonn revealed that he is polygamous in nature and doesn’t believe in monogamy.
According to him, “free” nature prevents him from settling for just one woman when he can have more.
On an episode of Toke Makinwa’s podcast, TokeMoments, Young Jonn stated:
“I don’t want to be limited to just one woman. I am just free.
“Contrary to the popular belief that musicians and entertainers are promiscuous, everybody is engaging in these things. They’re simply not as visible about it. Musicians, however, have their lives on display, so everyone sees what they do.
“My polygamous nature isn’t because of the industry I’m in. Ever since I was a young boy, I used to question everything. I’d ask why it has to be one man, one woman. Since then, I’ve always wanted to explore different routes. I don’t want to say fantasies.”
Young Jonn expressed uncertainty about getting married unless he meets a woman who can change his perspective on love and marriage.
