Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has dared Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo to arrest him.

Kuti denied being a “confusionist,” claiming that Ojo is “an oppressor.” According to him, he is only against Ojo arresting VeryDarkMan and not their social media fight.

Speaking in a video message shared via his Instagram account, Kuti said:

“I’m not a confusionist. And there was no time I opposed you fighting VeryDarkMan. I only said you shouldn’t be locking people up.

“If you’re angry I said you shouldn’t use the police to oppress people, please, don’t be angry. Continue to be an oppressor. Use the police to arrest everyone. In fact, come and arrest me too. You guys are the billionaires, the owners of Nigeria, if you get angry, everywhere will explode. So don’t be angry.

“I apologise for myself and on behalf of VeryDarkMan. Please, don’t flex your power. [Hisses] Nonsense!”

Seun Kuti also accused Iyabo Ojo and others of politicising the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad. He claimed the justice for Mohbad campaign was an agenda against Marlian label boss Naira Marley. He said:

“I believe you politicized the death of Mohbad. It was an agenda against Naira Marley. Where’s the movement for justice for Mohbad?”.

The singer claimed Iyabo turned Nigerians against Naira Marley, thus destroying his career. He added:

“You turned people against Naira Marley, you pinned a crime on him to destroy his career. When Naira Marley was bullying Mohbad, you were sending your children to his house to visit him.

I told you to sue VDM if he had defamed your character. There was no need to lock him up using the police.

VDM can insult anybody I don’t tell VDM what to do. I don’t understand why Paul O will tell me to choose between him and VDM.”
