Afrobeats singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has revealed that his Grammy-winning colleague, Wizkid is one of his music inspirations.
He disclosed this while relishing his collaboration with the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner in this newly-released third studio album, ‘Lungu Boy.’
On the side note of their collaborative song on the project, ‘MMS’, on digital streaming platforms, Asake revealed that he has been eager to collaborate with Wizkid. Asake wrote:
“It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.
“‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.”
Still on the music scene, Young, fast-rising singer Olalekan Emeka Taiwo, aka Logos Olori, recently shared a little-known truth about his relationship with Davido.
Logos was recently on Hip TV’s lifestyle show, “Trending”. While on the show, Logos spoke about his music career, how he joined Davido’s record label, and being the brain behind the monster hit, Unavailable
The former DMW signee also spoke about his relationship with Davido and how the label boss is very professional in his business dealings.
Logos Olori confirmed while on HipTv with Kim Oprah that he wrote Davido’s hit song, Unavailable. However, his record label boss changed the story of the song by tweaking some parts to suit his singing style, and Peruzzi helped craft it.
When Logos Olori was asked if he gets paid royalties for writing the song, he replied in the affirmative and spoke highly of Davido’s professionalism in his business dealings.
