Nigerian Afrobeats artist Seun Kuti has addressed his association with online critic Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
Seun Kuti in a recent video, highlighted that he does not have control over VeryDarkMan’s online activities and cannot influence his opinions or actions.
He clarified that he cannot dictate how VeryDarkMan expresses himself. He acknowledged that attempting to censor VeryDarkMan’s content would be futile, as the online critic operates independently.
Seun Kuti extended an apology to Femi Falana, stating that he disagrees with VeryDarkMan’s comments about the senior lawyer in a viral video.

Recall that VeryDarkMan had publicly apologized to Femi Falana amid bribery allegations.
The apology came during VeryDarkMan’s appearance before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions on Monday.
The activsit faced backlash after insinuating Falana’s involvement in bribery allegations put forth by crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky.
During his testimony, VeryDarkMan expressed his disbelief over the claims and distanced Falana from the accusations.
“Apparently now, some people are taking advantage of what is going to target Femi Falana,” VeryDarkMan said.
“Here, I apologise. It’s so sad that his name was inside that audio. I couldn’t believe it as well; that is the part that irritated me more, which I said I refuse to believe that he is a party to something like that.”
