Chief Dr. Deji Adeleke, the billionaire businessman and father of Nigerian music star Davido, recently opened up on the significant obstacles he encountered while building his $2 billion power plant.

Speaking at a conference in Maryland, USA, Adeleke detailed the hurdles he faced and the attempt by a government official to derail the project.

Deji Adeleke, who is also the President of Adeleke University and CEO of Pacific Holdings Limited, shared that a high-ranking official made efforts to halt the power plant’s construction.

Though he refrained from disclosing the identity of the individual, he noted that the person’s actions were deliberately aimed at preventing the project’s success.

Despite the difficulties, Deji Adeleke expressed his gratitude, crediting divine intervention for the project’s eventual success.
