- A UK-based lady has spoken on why she stopped being a staunch supporter of Afrobeats maestro, Wizkid.
- She traced it to how Wizkid used her content a few years ago and failed to reward or even acknowledge her.
Mide Oni, a UK-based Nigerian woman has revealed why she stopped being a fan of Wizkid.
Speaking, she reminisced about her loyalty to Wizkid since his early days, citing hits like “Don’t Dull” and “Ojuelegba.”
However, her enthusiasm waned in 2021 during Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” tour at the London O2 arena.
The lady shared that in 2021, Wizkid surprised her by selling out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in just 2 minutes, prompting her to create a video online since she was unable to buy from the tickets.
In the clip made on behalf of other Wizkid fans in the year 2021, Mide Oni told Wizkid to dish out another day for his O2 concert by selling tickets and by extension the clip went viral and was also used by Wizkid to promote the show.
Oni expressed her disappointment, stating that Wizkid failed to show appreciation or acknowledge her, unlike other artists who often gift loyal fans free tickets.
Her sentiments turned sour, culminating in a bold declaration: “I don’t f*k with Wizkid anymore… F*k off, Wizkid.”

The video has garnered mixed reactions, with some sympathizing with Oni’s feelings while others criticize her expectations.
