Nigerian film actor Chiwetalu Agu and his wife have opened up about their unique approach to managing household expenses.

In a funny video posted on the veteran actor’s official account on the photo and video sharing platform, Instagram, the couple shared details of how they divide financial responsibilities in their home.

Chiwetalu Agu’s wife explained that she manages various household payments, including rent, groceries, children’s school fees, electricity, clothing, and fuel costs amongst other things.

However, towards the end of the clip, the actor’s wife added a twist: she said her role is to “buy and pay with his money,” meaning Agu provides the funds she uses to cover these expenses.

Chiwetalu Agu’s post follows a similar discussion by popular media personality and actor IK Osakioduwa, who shared in an interview that he never splits household bills with his wife.

The media personality emphasized that he handles all financial obligations, including school fees, without expecting his wife to contribute from her own earnings.

IK Osakioduwa explained that he believes it is his duty to provide fully for the family and not split the bills at whatever percentage, stating that he will never be a 50/50 man..
