Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has expressed his views on the use of physical punishment as a means of correcting children.
During a recent appearance on the podcast “The Honest Bunch,” Bovi emphasized that children should not be subjected to physical harm, regardless of their actions.
Bovi questioned the effectiveness of physical punishment as a corrective measure, suggesting that it may be driven by frustration rather than a genuine desire to teach.

Bovi also criticized the practice of allowing senior students to discipline junior students in schools.
He argued that this can be problematic and advocated for a more supportive approach.
“No child should be given authority over another child in the name of ‘senior student’. It really has to stop,” he declared.
