- He made his concerns known in a tweet on the microblogging X site.
Nollywood movies actor cum film producer Timini Egbuson has expressed frustration over what he believes is a lack of support from music artistes, for the Nigerian film industry.
The movie star pointed out that while Nollywood consistently promotes and uplifts the music industry, the same level of support is rarely extended in return.
Timini Egbuson wrote on his microblogging X handle on Sunday:
“Really wish musicians supported Nollywood the way we support their music but that’s a conversation for another day.”
The Nigerian film and music industries have a close and blended relationship.
Over the years, with the numbers growing daily, a lot of musicians have featured in Nollywood movies, taking up major and minor roles.
Many actors have also released their own music, with some of them collaborating with other musicians. Some actresses have also been featured as vixens in music videos.
In many Nigerian movies, soundtracks and music played are majorly performed by musicians.
Now to rather exciting news, Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi, and his wife, Boluwatiwi Oye better known as Tiwi, have reportedly welcomed their first child overseas.
It’s worth noting that the couple tied the knot in January 2024, in a star-studded affair in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The report of the couple’s new addition was shared by Cutie Julls, a prominent entertainment gossip blogger, via an Instagram post.
According to Cutie Julls, the couple’s newborn is extremely gorgeous, with the gender kept under wraps.
Meanwhile, the couple are yet to address the report, sparking curiosity among fans and industry colleagues.
