- Destiny Etiko recently made a grand statement on Valentine’s Day, gifted herself a jaw-dropping ₦350 million G-Wagon.
- While admirers showered her with congratulations, skeptics lurked in the shadows, one of them being the ever-vocal Verydarkman.
- VDM took to social media to throw shade, questioned whether the high-end ride was truly ‘brand new’ or just cleverly repackaged.
Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Destiny Etiko, has reacted after controversial online crusader Verydarkman (VDM) threw shade at her newly acquired Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
On Valentine’s Day, Destiny made waves by unveiling her luxury Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, a bold statement of success that had fans and critics buzzing. The actress, despite using crutches, radiated sheer excitement in a video where she proudly flaunted her new ride as it arrived at her home.
Celebrity blogger Tunde Ednut estimated the price tag at a staggering ₦350 million, fueling discussions online.
But while many cheered, VDM wasn’t buying the hype. He accused Nollywood stars like Etiko of exaggerating their car purchases to create unnecessary pressure on social media.
He argued that if celebrities insist on flexing, they should at least be honest about the car’s manufacturing year instead of pushing a misleading narrative.

Stanley Ontop, Destiny’s colleague, wasn’t having it. He swiftly defended her, claimed she could very well afford the luxury ride given her massive revenue streams from movies and social media platforms..
Stanley ontop wrote;
“So VDM Dey drag my own Destiny Etico this guy wan make men enter am, you Dey m@d? Do you know how much Destiny makes from YouTube, Facebook and Tik Tok? VDM just no get sens€ at all.
“Nwa B!ngo, dimkpa Benin, Ezi Okpoko, Nkita ara Waten be 350m wa Destiny no fit chest? This VDM na Atulu

As tensions rose, Destiny Etiko herself made a subtle but telling move, instead of a long-winded response, she simply dropped a laughing emoji under Stanley’s post, a silent but powerful clapback that spoke volumes.
