A wave of drama swept through the federal high court in Lagos on Thursday as Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as Eezee Tee, a former manager to gospel sensation Mercy Chinwo, reportedly bolted from the court premises in a shocking turn of events.
According to TheCable NG, the spectacle erupted shortly after Justice Alexander Owoeye adjourned Eezee Tee’s much-anticipated arraignment to May 14, citing ongoing administrative processes.
As the music executive stepped out of the courtroom, journalists were already stationed, cameras poised, ready to capture his every move.
But in an unexpected twist, Eezee Tee reportedly took off at full speed, dashed away from the courthouse while media personnel scrambled to keep up, capturing the chaotic moment.

The embattled record label boss is facing serious allegations of money laundering and dishonest conversion, with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accusing him of laundering $340,000 and misappropriating revenue from Chinwo’s digital platforms and events.
During the court session, both the prosecution, led by Bilikisu Buhari, and the defense counsel, Chikaosolu Ojukwu, confirmed their readiness to proceed. However, the judge informed them that due to administrative formalities, the arraignment could not go forward as planned.
Beyond the financial allegations, Mercy Chinwo had also accused Eezee Tee of secretly swapping their original 2017 contract with a different one without her consent, a claim the music executive has vehemently denied, dismissing it as “lies from the pit of hell.”
