Mrs. Cordelia Okonye, the mother of late Augusta Onuwabhagbe, mourns her daughter 22 months after her demise.
It would be recalled that Augusta’s boyfriend, Benjamin Best a.k.a Killaboi had confessed in 2023 to killing her.
Despite his confession, Killaboi fled Nigeria. He was later arrested in Sierra Leone in October 2023.
In April 2025, Nigerian authorities, in collaboration with INTERPOL and Qatari officials, successfully extradited Killaboi back to Nigeria to face murder charges.
Augusta’s mother mourned her demise, noting that her boyfriend must join her in the afterlife.
She wrote …
“22 months today Benjamin killed you. You are still fighting because you said that if anyone kill you, you will kill your own back. He must join you my baby.”
