Emeka Ugwuonye, May Edochie’s lawyer, reacts to alleged apology letter amid ongoing divorce proceedings.
In a live session, Emeka Ugwuonye vehemently denied claims that his client sent an apology letter to Yul Edochie.
According to Ugwuonye, May is focused on pursuing her divorce and seeking damages for adultery.
“There is nothing like that. May has no reason to apologize, she was the one who filed for the divorce. Yul had the opportunity to fight for a counterclaim, but he didn’t do that. As it is today, Yul wants polygamy”, He stated.
Ugwuonye emphasized that Yul Edochie should be the one apologizing to May for choosing polygamy, which led to the breakdown of their marriage.
Furthermore, the lawyer urged the public to disregard the false claims and speculations surrounding the apology letter.
Recall that the divorce proceedings between May Edochie and Yul Edochie began in August 2023, with May citing adultery and seeking N100 million in damages from Judy Austin, whom Yul had introduced as his second wife in April 2022.
