Emmanuella, the girlfriend of popular Nigerian skit maker Carter Efe, has spoken out in support of her partner amid criticism over his unconventional comedy skits.
During a recent livestream shared with Carter Efe, Emmanuella addressed growing concerns from fans and critics who feel the comedian’s extreme stunts are too much or potentially embarrassing.
Contrary to those sentiments, she declared she is proud of him and even plays a part in his creative process.
“I know most of you see him [Carter Efe] online doing stuff and you feel like maybe he’s disgracing me. To be honest, before he does it, I’m aware. So, how can I be embarrassed or ashamed of who I already know?” Emmanuella said.
She revealed that not only does she approve of his content before it’s published, but she also encourages him to push the limits.
“I’m actually the one who advises him to do crazy stunts. He’s not embarrassing me. I’m even the one who encourages him to do those stunts. So, I’m never ashamed of my man,” she added.
Her comments come in response to ongoing online debates questioning the comedic style of Carter Efe, known for his loud, energetic, and often outrageous skits that sometimes draw mixed reactions from viewers.
Emmanuella also offered broader advice to women, urging them to support their partners regardless of what the world thinks of their profession.
“Don’t ever be ashamed of whatever your man is doing,” she said, stressing the importance of loyalty and encouragement in relationships.
