Streaming platform Spotify has just released its 2025 Global Impact List, spotlighting the top 30 Nigerian songs making major waves outside Nigeria in the first half of the year. And the numbers are saying one thing loud and clear, that Afrobeats is not just flying, it’s soaring.
While Rema took the crown with his smash hit “Baby (Is It a Crime)”, Davido owned the chart with a record-breaking 9 entries, all from his latest album, 5ive. Tracks like With You (feat. Omah Lay), Be There Still, 10 Kilo, and Holy Water made Davido the most dominant name on the list.
Coming in hot at No. 2 is Shallipopi with his viral banger “Laho”, while Davido and Omah Lay’s emotional duet “With You” claims the third spot.
Rising star Chella proved she’s no one-hit wonder, securing No. 4 with “My Darling”, and Burna Boy’s high-profile collab with Travis Scott, “TaTaTa”, rounds out the top five.
Other notable entries in the top 10 include:

One surprise name on the list is Beéle, who teamed up with Thisizlondon for the Spanish-Nigerian crossover “Si mañana me muero”, proving Afrobeats continues to bridge continents and languages.
While Rema may have scored the biggest single, it’s Davido vs Burna Boy that fans are buzzing about. Davido outpaced Burna with 9 entries to Burna’s 5, sparking renewed debates online about whose pen and presence are truly ruling the global scene in 2025.
