Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has opened up about an emotional and frustrating ordeal that has left her heartbroken.
This revelation came in a series of social media Snapchat posts shared hours ago. The singer revealed that she is stuck in limbo over a visa and passport issue that could cost her a major shoot in London, along with special travel plans for her son, Jamil. She shared:
“I don’t even know whether my visa was approved or not. All I know is my passport is not out.”
“I have a huge shoot in London and if I miss it, I miss soooo many opportunities surrounding my album and its release date. I feel like crying 💔.”
As if that was not enough, Tiwa, who rarely shows this level of vulnerability online, went on to reveal that she had planned something special for her son Jamil’s birthday. She lamented that the plans have now been completely ruined. She added in a second post:
“Jamil’s birthday is tomorrow and the travel plans I had for him, all ruined. My heart is so heavy.
“I’m just going to switch off today. Praying that God gives life and hope tomorrow.”
The emotional posts sparked waves of sympathy from fans across social media.

Some fans offered prayers and words of encouragement, while others criticized the passport and visa system that continues to frustrate even high-profile Nigerians trying to travel for work.
Tiwa Savage, who’s gearing up for a new album rollout, has had a busy year, from touring globally to appearing in the Water & Garri film project. This delay, however, could set back some of those plans. See screenshot of her revelation below:
