Afrobeats superstar Davido has taken fans down memory lane, sharing a nostalgic moment from his early days in music.
It was a time when he was still running errands for music legends Don Jazzy and D’Banj, long before he became one of Africa’s biggest stars.
In a viral clip posted on X, Davido recounted an experience from around 2008 in Atlanta, where he found himself freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj at his father’s house.
The singer, known for his charisma and storytelling, recalled how he was then sent on an errand in his billionaire father’s luxury ride. Davido said:
“In Atlanta, 2007 or 2008 or 2009… In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj. He sent me to go and buy McDonald’s with my papa car, Rolls Royce.”
