Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade visited the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) headquarters in Lagos on Saturday, during the monthly “Power Must Change Hands” service, to present her WAFCON 2024 medal and award to Pastor Daniel Olukoya and his wife, Shade Olukoya, in a heartfelt gesture of gratitude and spiritual recognition.
The decorated football star, who led Nigeria’s women’s national team to victory at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, was captured in viral video and photos personally handing over her Woman of the Match trophy, WAFCON medal, and a custom jersey bearing the name “OLUKOYA 01” to the visionary pastor and his wife as a symbolic token of appreciation, after giving her testimony in church.
Attendees at the service included dignitaries such as Lagos State First Lady Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and State Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde, who witnessed the emotional ceremony firsthand .
Pastor Olukoya took to Instagram to share the occasion, describing it as a testimony to divine faithfulness in Ajibade’s life. He praised God for orchestrating her success and prayed for continued blessings upon the Super Falcons and their captain .
Ajibade’s visit to MFM was not only a gesture of homage to her spiritual roots but also a significant public reaffirmation of her Christian faith. She began her football journey playing for MFM FC Women, the flagship team of the ministry, before moving abroad to join European clubs and eventually making her name with Atlético Madrid Femenino .
Her act of presenting the medal was timed shortly after Nigeria’s thrilling 3–2 victory over Morocco in the WAFCON final, which secured a record-extending 10th title for the Super Falcons. Ajibade’s leadership and crucial contributions during the tournament earned her global admiration and added to her growing legacy on the pitch.
