It was a proud dad moment for award‑winning gospel singer Tim Godfrey as he surprised his son, Bryan, with a brand‑new car to mark his 17th birthday.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 44‑year‑old singer gushed over his teenager, describing him as humble, respectful, and rarely one to make personal demands. Tim wrote:
“My son in whom I’m well pleased! Bryan has been a very good boy — humble, respectful. He never makes requests, so I took it upon myself to surprise him for his 17th.”
The ‘Nara’ crooner also jokingly declared his parenting subscription officially renewed, writing:
“Best Dad in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD subscription renewed.”
In a heartwarming video shared online, Bryan could be seen walking towards the surprise gift, beaming with excitement as friends and family erupted into cheers.
Tim has never hidden his pride in his first son, previously praising him for his brilliance, discipline, and football talent. On Bryan’s 16th birthday last year, he penned:
“Thank you for being such a blessing. A focused, intelligent, and disciplined child. You are truly a star in the making and a phenomenal footballer.”
Fans and fellow gospel artistes flooded the comment section to celebrate the father‑son moment, applauding Tim for rewarding his son’s good behaviour.
Tim Godfrey, who is behind hit songs like ‘Nara,’ ‘Iyanu a Sele,’ and ‘Agidigba,’ married his wife Erica in April 2022. The couple welcomed a baby girl in early 2023.
In other news, actor Gideon Okeke has launched a fiery tirade against fellow Nollywood star Jim Iyke, harshly criticizing his latest film Sin and demanding that the actor refund what he claims was an extravagant budget.
Taking to Instagram, Gideon didn’t hold back.
The outspoken actor declared that even if he achieves nothing else in Nollywood, he would at least be remembered for telling Jim Iyke “the truth about himself”.
