Controversial activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has expressed disappointment in singer Naira Marley for forgiving Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo over her alleged defamatory remarks about him in the Mohbad case.

Speaking in a video shared on his TikTok page, VDM revealed that he had advised Naira Marley to pursue legal action against Iyabo Ojo for cyberbullying and defamation.

According to him, Iyabo’s accusations damaged the singer’s reputation during the period when public outrage was high following Mohbad’s tragic death.

“I told Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo but he said Allah will judge,” VDM stated. “I told him to lose his cool the moment we enter the Police Commissioner’s office and say Iyabo Ojo’s defamatory remarks have ruined his career and tarnished his image. He said okay, but when he got there and Iyabo apologised in Yoruba, Naira Marley immediately forgave her. I almost died where I was sitting. I was so upset and disappointed.”

VDM also revealed that Naira Marley’s associate, Sam Larry, was equally unhappy with the decision to let things slide.

According to him, Sam Larry protested the forgiveness and became emotional over the situation.

When Sam Larry saw that Naira Marley had accepted Iyabo Ojo’s apology, he protested against it. I was signalling Naira Marley not to accept the apology because I know Iyabo Ojo won’t keep to her end of the agreement. Sam Larry shed tears,” he added.
