Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Josh Alfred, better known as Josh2Funny, has revealed a surprising and hilarious truth about his love life. He claims he has never toasted a woman in his entire life.
In a recent interview with Naija FM, the comic star jokingly claimed that in all his “765 and a half” past relationships, he never once made the first move. According to him, he’s always been the “spec,” and even his wife was the one who chased him.
“She just saw me and said, ‘Which kind guy fine like this?’” Josh recalled with a deadpan expression, sending the room into fits of laughter.
When asked if he considered himself one of the finest comedians in Nigeria, Josh2Funny didn’t hesitate to crown himself number one.
“I be fine boy now. Who fine pass me? Mention one comedian wey fine pass me from this Nigeria,” he playfully challenged the interviewer.
But behind the jokes lies a sweet love story. Josh’s wife, Bina Alfred, is an Ethiopian entrepreneur and CEO of lifestyle brand Pink Rose.
The couple met online and later connected in person when she visited Nigeria. They dated for about two years before Josh popped the question in October 2019.
By December 2020, they tied the knot in a quiet court wedding at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry in Lagos, surrounded by close friends and family. Their marriage has since been blessed with two sons — Eden (born May 2022) and Luam (born January 2024) — with a third child currently on the way.
Over the years, Bina has become an integral part of Josh’s life and career, often featuring in his skits and providing unwavering support. Josh regularly showers her with public praise, once calling her “the most beautiful thing that happened to my entire existence.”
