Nigerian rapper Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh, has spoken out after narrowly escaping an alleged robbery attack in Lagos.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, saw the rapper ambushed by unknown assailants who attempted to snatch his jewellery, including a necklace. In the struggle, Lil Kesh was stabbed in the neck and part of his ear, leaving him with severe injuries.
Disturbing photos of the aftermath quickly circulated online, sparking widespread concern among his fans. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors stitched his wounds and stabilised him.
Breaking his silence via his Instagram story, the 30-year-old artiste described the ordeal as a “curveball” from life but expressed gratitude for surviving.
“Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers,” he wrote.
The update has since reassured fans, many of whom had flooded social media with prayers and messages of support.
