A few days back, Grammy winner, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, alias Wizkid made a controversial statement concerning rap music which stirred several uproars online.

Wizkid had vehemently stated that he doesn’t listen to rap because it’s dead and boring. As expected, numerous rappers put up tantrums as they chided the crooner for making such an assertion.

In a recent clip, MI Abaga is seen lamenting how he has suffered to push Hip Hop music genre. According to him, rap is an unconventional style of music and therefore attracts massive criticism.

He went on to affirm that he doesn’t care where the criticisms are coming from because he grew and rose to the top on intense criticisms.

Speaking, the legendary rapper said:

“People get upset when I talk with an authoritative voice about Hip Hop. But listen, I am MI, na me don suffer for this game for where e day now, It’s undisputed. So when I speak, I am speaking with experience, with the weight of my contribution and I want to say this was a great year for the genre.”
