Pastor Faith Oyedepo, the wife of the renowned Nigerian clergyman Bishop David Oyedepo, became a hot topic on Twitter after she revealed her husband’s actions during a miscarriage scare.

Faith Oyedepo disclosed that when she was pregnant with her first son, she experienced bleeding which made her fear that she had suffered a miscarriage.

She tweeted: “I remember when I was pregnant with our first son, one day I saw blood flowing from me and when my husband returned home, I told him that I had a miscarriage. Boldly, and without any hesitation, he said, “You can’t have a miscarriage!”, and then asked to be served his meal.”

Unfortunately, some tweeps criticized the clergyman’s reaction to his wife’s miscarriage scare, arguing that he should have been more compassionate towards her rather than asking for food.

Following this, she posted a subsequent tweet to elaborate on the lesson she learned from the incident.

“That statement activated the spirit of faith and the pregnancy was sustained. You need to accelerate your operation of the spirit of faith daily, and then you will find the miraculous a daily occurrence for you.”

Reacting to the tweet,  one @AyoBankole: “Lol this tweet is too volcanic for Twitter and should have been left to the church auditorium & Facebook. Now we have a whole 3rd world war on our hands when we thought we’ve all found a common enemy in Nigerian politicians ???.”

@abjaynuel: “I believe Bishop Oyedepo was soo used to trusting God for miracles and his faith exceeded the mountains that he couldn’t believe his wife would have a miscarriage. If you’ve listened to his sermons, you’ll know he can respond like this to “Problems” It’s a faith response for him.”

@UgwunnaEjikem: “Lmao holy smokes! This the first time I’m seeing a tweet that rattles atheists, doctors & feminists at the same time. Goodluck mummyGO, you’re going to need it when day breaks.”

@Ifeade_Lu: “Your husband had no sympathy whatsoever for you as his wife. But It’s better to keep certain things private, ma If someone’s husband were to see what you’re sharing, they might tell their own wife the same thing and face the tragic consequence of losing their unborn child. Be mindful of what you choose to share on the internet.”

@Mr_Orok: “The power of our tongue. Most times we tend to bring bad luck upon ourselves because we don’t understand the power of our words & tongue. We should try as much as possible to make positive proclamations to ourselves,to our day(s) and love ones. You will be susprised what difference this can make .”

@chemicalbrodar: “Damn he didn’t even say sorry? ?”
