Recall that Davido launched his own meme coin, $DAVIDO few weeks ago.
The announcement was made on the microblogging platform X, where Davido shared a screenshot showcasing his coin, which operates on Solana’s blockchain platform.
Surprisingly, $DAVIDO has already reached the top spot on DEX Screener.
Following this, Solana’s official account welcomed Davido, to which he responded, “The King of SOL is here ! $DAVIDO.”
The launch has garnered significant attention, especially from Davido’s fanbase in Nigeria.
Many fans have quickly invested in the new meme coin, leading to a surge of positive testimonials praising the venture.
However, amid the excitement, there have also been voices of skepticism, with some speculating about the legitimacy of the coin and raising concerns about a potential scam.
Few days after the launch of this meme coin, Davido was labeled a ‘fraudster’ as fans make severe loss on $Davido coin.
The sudden crash in value resulted in fans losing a big amount of money, with one investor sharing a screenshot of their account showing a loss of over 86% of their initial investment of $150, leaving them with only $20.
This has led to an outpouring of anger and disappointment on social media platforms, with many fans accusing Davido of fraudulent act and expressing regret for trusting him and investing in the cryptocurrency.
